here is a link to our general brochure Jamie brochure OWLHeroes Vignesh BrochureDescription- Our non-profit organization, OWLHeroes, centers around saving the endangered owls of the world. We use different techniques to prevent the threats to owls. Anyone can post an idea for saving owls. Then, collaborators from around the world can debate this idea. Eventually, a strong plan is formed. Then, plans are made for this idea to take place. About ten ideas are fully polished and ready for action by the end of the year. Out of these ten, six usually succeed. Many owls have recovered from the brink of extinction. In fact, at least three species of owls have been taken off of the endangered list thanks to OWLHeroes. Future projects are already being planned, and many more are going to take place. Every time new events are planned, everyone gets the notice. International protests usually help owls come back.
Target Audience-
Kids and teenagers around the world, especially in North America, where most owls are endangered.
Parents
Bird-watchers
ecologists
zoologists
Goal-
OWLHeroes is an organization that will help save the endangered owls of to world. Our goal is to get as many people to collaborate in our act of saving the endangered owls and to raise awareness of the problems facing owls worldwide.
Background-
OWLHeroes was created by 3 Bedminster middle school students in March of 2011.
We plan to continue our work and fundraising to save endangered species of owls throughout our high school, college and, hopefully, adulthood years.
We raise money by doing car washes, asking for donations, and selling candy.
We have researched several endangered owls.
Success stories - Last week, marches were held in fourteen different countries. We got millions of teens to protest over deforestation. We rescued a forest in Canada for owls to recover from losing their homes. Now, those owls are safe, and they are flourishing.
While that was happening, a group restored some Northern Spotted Owls back to the forest. These had been raised in captivity and were released to reintroduce the species to their former home. For a year, these owls were nurtured back to health. They were set free to roam the forests again.
Future Projects- We are currently saving money for a trip to Mexico where we will convince people to save local forests. The owls there are often illegally captured. We are looking to save not only owls but other animals as well. Capturing is becoming a worldwide tragedy as many more species are illegally trafficked.
Volunteers- You can volunteer by visiting our OWLHereos organization in Bedminster NJ and help save some owls or contact us at __http://www.owlheroes.org/__
